Trustee Christianna Wood to discuss institutional investing, Thursday, May 2, 2013

Trustee Christianna Wood ‘81

Vassar trustee and alumna Christianna Wood is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, who has over thirty years of experience managing institutional capital on a global basis. On Thursday, May 2, at 7:00 pm in the Villard Room she will discuss her background and duties as an institu­tional investor, her experience with divestment initiatives, industry theory on efficient portfolios, and a view of responsible investing for the future. Her presentation, “An institutional investor’s experience with divestment, engagement and responsible investing”, is sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Strategic Planning and Academic Resources as well as the Campus Investor Responsibility Committee.

Wood graduated with honors from Vassar in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in economics, she has an MBA in Finance from New York University, and she also attended University College, London.  She was elected to the Vassar board of trustees in 2006.
